No. The application for a guardian visa can only be submitted after the student visa has been approved by the Immigration department.

Bank statements must cover the most recent 3 months. To avoid rejection, ensure there are no gaps in transaction history longer than 20 days.

If any required documents are unavailable, you may submit an official verification or confirmation letter from your embassy to explain and certify the missing documents.

Yes. There is a Student Pass application fee.

The visa processing fee for the student and parents (if applicable) is charged separately from the school application fee and is payable to the Immigration Department.

It is advisable for both the student and parent to submit their passports and required documents to the school immediately after entering Malaysia. Failure to do so may affect the visa application process at the Immigration Department.

No, a medical check-up or health insurance is not required as part of the application process.

  • All student pass applications are subject to approval by the Ministry of Education (MOE). There is no fixed approval timeline; however, the approval process typically takes approximately 30–45 working days.
  • If the 30-day travel visa expires before approval is granted (for some cases where the family is already in Malaysia), the student will be required to exit Malaysia and re-enter. For this reason, we usually advise families to enter Malaysia only after receiving MOE approval, as the student visa is generally issued within 14 working days thereafter.
  • In the event of a rejected application, we may attempt to resubmit the application; however, this remains subject to MOE’s approval. Final decisions rest solely with the MOE.
