What happens if the Student Pass application is delayed or rejected?
- All student pass applications are subject to approval by the Ministry of Education (MOE). There is no fixed approval timeline; however, the approval process typically takes approximately 30–45 working days.
- If the 30-day travel visa expires before approval is granted (for some cases where the family is already in Malaysia), the student will be required to exit Malaysia and re-enter. For this reason, we usually advise families to enter Malaysia only after receiving MOE approval, as the student visa is generally issued within 14 working days thereafter.
- In the event of a rejected application, we may attempt to resubmit the application; however, this remains subject to MOE’s approval. Final decisions rest solely with the MOE.
